’What is AI?’ Video Series

I had the awesome opportunity to design and animate a video series for the Human Technology Institute (HTI), in partnership with CSIRO’s National Artificial Intelligence Centre. This project was all about giving Australian businesses a crash course in human-centred AI, focusing on making sure AI is used ethically and smartly. I was responsible for bringing these complex ideas to life through motion design, translating key concepts into easy-to-digest, visually engaging animations. The goal was to make this crucial training accessible and interesting for decision-makers, equipping them with the skills to embed human values into their AI strategy and deployment. It was a great challenge to distill big ideas into clean, compelling visuals. Visit the UTS website for more info:

Storyboard

Each video was storyboarded in collaboration with project stakeholders to ensure the visuals accurately depicted the content. AI can be quite abstract, so this was an important stage of the creative process where we brainstormed the best way to visually represent some of the high-level concepts, but also keep the videos grounded in reality.

Styleframes

These styleframes show the initial visual language we developed, which we then built upon with footage and illustration so that we had more creative options at our disposal.
