It wasn't that long ago that I was a curious kid looking at grainy photos of the moon on the news, and it blows my mind how much more we understand about the universe today. Inspired by the Curiosity rover landing on mars, I designed and animated this short film.

This piece shows the first surface images of Mars from the Viking in 1976 through to beautiful high res images of the Bacolor and Hyugens craters. I've pulled together about 100 photos, various bits of footage, and designed and animated some 2D and 3D assets of my own to create this tribute to my favourite little red planet.
